The Forcasting Report of Vivienne Westwood's 2010 Autumn and Winter Collection.

To me, Vivienne Westwood is a tough and focusing woman.
Once she focus on one issue, she will definitely tries her best to meet her target.
As these few years, she is focusing on the global warming and environment protection issues,
i guess she will continue to spread the message in 2010.

I forcast her using crystal blue, sapphire blue, sky blue, glacial blue, different kinds of marine colours. As the global warming issue is getting worse, the pole areas are being affected badly, the sea level keeps on rising, and she may use blue to show the ocean problem. As the ice is melting, white and silver white would be emphasised, i think that white colour and show the idea of cold and snow.

Next, i think that she will use green and brown colour as well, green power is very influencial in these few decades, as Westwood wanted to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produce, she would definitely use plants and wood colours to bring the idea, as plants are important in keeping the aie fresh and transforming CO2 in to oxygen! Besides, yellow and dark red and pink colours are used. They are of course to decorate the designs, but also, they are also environmentally friendly colours as they refers to forest colours.

The Base colour of the collection will still be Black, white and greys. As Westwood likes to use them to contrast the emphasise colors.

Moreover, overall looking to my forcast, the colours used are quite dusty, because the air is not as fresh, with the continuation of the destruction to the environment, i think the dusty and doom feeling of the collection will arouse the attention of the consumers!

I believe Westwood will continue to use the mono-chromatic and split-complementary scheme. As she used them in most of her collections., showing her own special style.

This collection, the "+5 degree" used much blue colours. Which she brings the idea of cooling down the earth. It is known that the CO2 level produced is getting higher, the earth is heating up, Westwood wanted to help arouse the message of solving the environmental problem, stop heating up the earth! We can see different kinds of blue are used, and also dark green and olive green are used. showing the power of green (environmental friendly), and blue (marine and temperature.)

Vivienne Westwood 2009 Spring and Summer designs.

Vivienne Westwood was inspired by the tropical rainforest, still her focus was on environmental protection. The collection named "Do It Yourself". Which the colours were simple, not comlicated, and they represents the fruits and plants of the forests. Such as violet, misty red, brown, green. Silver white and Golden brown are used as complementary colours to give a fresh image to the collection.

2008-2009 vivenne Westwood Autumn Winter Ready to wear.

According to my understanding, the color used are all cool colors in this collection.
At this point, Vivienne Westwood started to be aware of the problem of Global Warming, and therefore created this collection as worriors of the environment, the colours used are worriors' uniform colours, which include dark laurel,Raven, ash grey and black. As these colours are all too boring, she added brown red, apprecot and light french blue. All these colours are related to environment ( sea, tree, sky, air), hoping to arouse the attention to the problem!

Vivienne Westwood 2008 spring and summer collection.

This collection used alot of creamy colours. Blue, pink, dark red, appricote, yellow and creamy green shown the idea of colourful and wonderful.

The collection looked young and exciting.

Vivienne Westwood 2007-2008 Autumn Summer Collection

From the above analysis, this year, Westwood used alot of light dark colours, they are all related to Autumn Winter colors. Again, white and black used, she then added beige, brown, cherry, dark cherry, royal blue, blue grey. Gold and Silver are used as complimentary colors to make the collection more energetic and special. The collection was quite plain and mature.

The main colour used are sharp colours, which includes golden yellow, bold yellow, ruby, light pink and strong blue.
Black, white, leaf green and dark green are used as base colours.

The collection was really eye catching, and warm.

according to the collection above, we can see that it used mostly cool colours, such as white, black, grey. With some help of dark blue, light red and brown orange. The collection gave a simple idea and not much contrast, plain was the focus.

As the 19th century came to an end..

Westwood took bringing and changing the fashion world as her main task, new collections came up. She wanted to influence how the people wear, "You lead a better life if you wear impressing clothes" this was said by her.

Her main aim at this stage was to design special and sight-catching wear.

Second renewal**

After the style of punk, it came to the period of the pirates collection. The style was adopted by the musician and was being labelled as the new Romance. She started her second revolution of renewing fashion. The collection carried a message of rakish and androgynous sexual overtone. The collection was launched in the shop of Westwood "World's end". At this stage, inner wear was worn was outer wear, in the collections corset and crinoline. 1987, She designed the liberty corset, this was the first corset that was introduced as outer wear.

This woman is stronger than what i think about her..having special influence on political side, when i search for her information, "she is so amazing!" is the only word i can describe her.

Westwood designs were mostly associated with Punk at the beginning, emphazising SEX & VIOLENCE!! What it was about were blankness and chaos, sexual deviancy. At that time(1970s), she was greatly influenced by situationist which is rooted with marxism and aspired major social and political transformation, and that is the direction of her.

For SEX was political for this famous designer, she brought the idea "SEX= FASHION".

Torn clothings were popular, underwear was worn as outerwear, designs were also blended with scottish fashion style.

A famous British Designer who brought modern punk and new wave* (basically the reinvention of Rock n Roll of the 1960s, it incorporated few kinds of other influences) fashion into the mainstream.

Westwood started to sell her designs in her husband's shop "Let it Rock" in1971. When the Sex Pistols, the English Punk Rock band formed in London in 1975, wore the designs from the shop of Westwood, Punk style started to become popular!

Westwood has very significant impact on changing the fashion and this can still be seen today, her shocking designs were very influencial and were the best proofs of her work.
